Ben is an experienced procurement leader with a focus on enabling Private Equity portfolios to get the most out of Asset’s spend. 

Main areas of practice

Ben specialises in Private Equity, both supporting asset level transformations and advising operating partners on maximizing value from portfolio procurement programs.

He also leads on Electronic Manufacturing, supporting Consumer, Automotive, Medical and Industrial clients to secure supply and proactively generate value with their subcontract manufacturing

Ben has supported a number of Private Equity funds across both North America and Europe. He has lead transformations across manufacturing, technology, industrial and construction sectors.

Significant experience

• Private Equity, Growth Focused Fund – Structured & drove portfolio level activities including building a procurement community, performance management, identifying opportunities and supporting CPOs with insight and benchmarks. Most engaged parties outperformed on spend turn & realizing savings in budget. 
• Private Equity, Other – Varied support from Asset level transformation & landing change with org, Due Diligence on targets, driving takeup & optimization of cross portfolio deals, and sequencing asset level interventions to maximize fund ROI
• Advanced Manufacturing – a $400m manufacturer of radiation safety equipment, with 20 manufacturing sites across the US, Canada and Europe. Led post merger opportunity assessment, then managed negotiation & implementation of new strategic supply partnerships with in-year savings, innovation and cost-out goals. Consulted on strategies for make vs buy on rapidly expanding product lines, and remediating a sub-assembly with high failure rates.
• Consumer Technology – Hardware startup with 100%+ units sold growth year on year. Ran partner selection for Tier 1 contract manufacture and core technology partners, to enable future value proposition (Cost, Features, ESG). Set roadmap for value creation in Indirect including accessing new capabilities to enhance organization capabilities
