Utilising Negotiation within the Competitive Flexible Procedure (Procurement Act 2023)

Procurement Act 2023 sees the introduction of the new Competitive Flexible Procedure, which replaces many of the previous more prescriptive procedures. It provides contracting authorities with more opportunity and flexibility to design their own competitive tendering procedure, including incorporating and encouraging proportionate use of negotiation and supplier clarifications.

To support you in your preparations for the Procurement Act 2023, and to help you to drive additional value in your procurement activities, we are offering a free training session on the use of negotiation within the Competitive Flexible Procedure. The training session will be followed by networking, with drinks and nibbles.

As a specialised procurement consultancy we have deep experience of running successful negotiations on behalf of our clients as well as upskilling our clients on how to plan and deliver negotiation to achieve their outcomes. From this training session you will gain:

• An understanding of the fundamentals of negotiation
• Negotiation preparation - determining your attitude and parameters
• Learn to use different styles when appropriate/necessary
• How to deliver rapid fact-based negotiation rounds 

This will be an interactive session and as such, the number of places will be limited to 20, with a maximum of 2 attendees per organisation.
