We are delighted to host our first Young Procurement Professional's Club event; the start of an interactive workshop series for those at the beginning of their careers in Procurement and Supply Chain. These events provide a great opportunity to network and engage in conversation with peers around key procurement topics.

About the speaker
Our first speaker in this series of events is Emily Pether.
Emily is a Procurement Leader for BAE Systems Maritime – Submarines and CIPs Young Talent 2020 Finalist.
Prior to her current role, Emily completed the BAE Systems Supply Chain Graduate Development Framework in 2018, following the completion of her Undergraduate law Degree at Nottingham University in 2016.
Emily prides herself on setting a high standard in all aspects of her professional work, which is mirrored by her team, and being able to communicate effectively with all suppliers and levels of her organisation.
The topic
We'll be discussing the international response to the COVID-19 pandemic, focussing on how it has brought the Procurement and Supply Chain industry to the forefront, and what we can learn.
Over the last year, COVID-19 has significantly impacted the procurement and supply chain industry. Emily will be leading this session by looking at what we can learn from the pandemic as procurement professionals, and what this means for the future of procurement.
