About the speaker
Chris is the Director of Procurement for Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, as part of the Smart Together procurement service hosted by Guys and St Thomas.
Prior to joining the NHS in July 2021, Chris’ career was focused on local government, starting at East Riding of Yorkshire Council before going on to Leeds City Council, then to Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council. Chris has worked across multiple categories over this time but mainly within Construction and Housing, and ‘People’ based services, such as Adults and Children Social Care, Education and Public Health.
Chris has a passion for the wider public good that can be delivered through procurement. Chris uses effective tools and robust internal governance processes to ensure a high standard of delivery, both individually and within his teams. His approach maximises the opportunities that exist within the boundaries of legislative and regulatory frameworks.
