Interview Process
The interview process is designed to test all the core skills needed to be a great Efficio consultant. The assessments and interviews are designed to mimic real-world problems faced by client teams to simulate the type of work we do. At Efficio we aim to give each candidate the best opportunity to showcase your skills. The guidance on this page details each stage of the process and summarises our key tips on how to be successful.
Numerical Test
The numerical test is a 20 minute online based test, here are some pointers to consider:
- When you progress to this stage you will be sent a link to complete the numerical test. Before taking the test you are given an option to complete a practice test. We encourage all candidates to do the practice to make yourself familiar with the format of the test
- The test is timed so aim to work quickly and accurately
- The test is adaptive and therefore if you are answering questions correctly the difficulty will increase
- You are unable to go back and forward between questions. Please be sure of your answer before confirming your selection
- Ensure you have a strong internet connection before beginning the test
- Calculators are permitted. Make sure you have a calculator to hand before you start
Competency based interview
The competency based interview is designed to assess a candidate's strengths and weaknesses in the key competencies required by the role
- Think about how you structure your responses: The STAR method is a structured manner of responding to a behavioral-based interview question by discussing the specific situation, task, action, and result of the situation you are describing
- Prepare examples of relevant transferrable experiences
- Consider what questions you have for Efficio
- Do your research on Efficio and think about your motivation for wanting to join
Excel Test
The Excel test is a 1 hour long case study where you are provided with a dataset and asked to complete data analysis, explain your approach and detail each of the steps you have taken:
- It is difficult for most candidates to complete the full exercise in 1 hour. Please do not worry if you can’t complete it. You can still pass the assessment without finishing it
- The test is designed to assess your logic as well as your Excel capabilities.
- You will need to use common Excel functionality to complete the task such as IF statements, SUMIFS and Pivot Tables
- Points are awarded for correct answers and for outlining your logic and steps you have taken
